There are several active SYP Chapters across Canada but if you are a CWRA member, student or young professional in a city that does not yet have a SYP Chapter, we encourage you to work with your SYP Representatives to the National Board and your provincial organization to start a chapter. Chapters may be organized in many different ways: as a networking or ‘Bluedrinks’ group in an urban area, as a university group, as a joint SYP group with another water resources organization, or a combination of these.
Here are some tips to get you started:
- Contact your local CWRA branch. Every CWRA Branch President is ready to answer any questions you have. Click the "Branches" dropdown menu above to browse the list of Provincial Branches and get contact info.
- Take advantage of student rates for CWRA membership. As a member, you receive the latest water-related News and have discounted rates for conference registration, workshops and online events.
Want to meet new people and grow your network? Do you have a passion for Canada's water resources? This is an open call for all Students and Young Professonials. We encourage you to join us and share your ideas on the priorities and goals of the SYP for the next year. A new school year has just begun and the SYP aims to connect like-minded, passionate young people. Join this meeting from your computer, tablet or smartphone.
