Articles written by our members:
  • Building Better Stage-Discharge Rating Curves by Ian Roberston
On the basis of his extensive experience in developing stage-discharge relationships for numerous gauging sites on rivers in both India and the UK, Robertson had developed a powerful methodology for deriving river-rating curves from even limited and sometimes complex stage-discharge observations.
  • Logarithmic Plotting of Stage-Discharge Observation by S. Thomas Lavender
There are a number of point In favour Of logarithmic plotting and the method is of course very old. It is described in some quite old departmental textbooks of a number of oversea territories and it is referred to at some length in Morley Parker' s 'The Control of Water'.
