3pm – 4pm CANCID AGM

 

Phosphorus removal structures are a new best management practice for reducing surface water eutrophication by filtering dissolved phosphorus (DP) before it reaches a water body.  Dr. Chad J. Penn will present how, why, where and when to use phosphorus removal structures.  Dr. Penn is a research scientist at the USDA Agricultural Research Service in west Lafayette and adjunct professor in the Department of Agronomy at Purdue University.  His current research includes the design and construction of phosphorus removal structures based on the desired P removal goal and desired structure lifetime.

 

Following the talk and question period, CANCID will hold the 2023 AGM.  Join the virtual AGM to hear about CANCID activities and upcoming opportunities.  In addition, the election for executive positions will be held.  Nominations are being sought for the following positions: Directors (Atlantic, Québec, BC/Yukon)
