12:00 AT: Fish Habitat Restoration in the East Coast Webinar

The CWRA Maritime Branch is pleased to offer this webinar on Fish Habitat Restoration in the East Coast. This event will feature the following presentations:

Alanna Syliboy from the Department of Aquatic Resources & Fisheries Management (Confederacy of Mainland Mi’kmaq) on a Miꞌkmaq perspective on species at Risk and Habitat Restoration; and
Jennifer MacDonald from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Maritimes Region on Ecosystem Management’s Role in Fish Habitat Restoration

We will take this opportunity to introduce our new branch, our goals and the benefits of becoming a member.

Special General Meeting

After the presentations, the Maritimes Branch will hold a Special General Meeting to discuss expanding the Maritime Branch to include CWRA members from Newfoundland, changing the name of the Branch to the “Atlantic Branch’, and updating the bylaws accordingly.

All CWRA members in NB, NS, PEI, and NL are invited to attend this meeting and participate in the discussion. CWRA Members from the Maritimes Branch (NS, NB, and PEI) will be able to vote on the motions at this meeting. Currently, CWRA Members in Newfoundland are not represented by a CWRA Branch or Chapter, and do not have voting powers in the Maritime Branch meetings. The Maritime Branch encourages and welcomes attendance and input from CWRA Members in Newfoundland at this meeting.

A copy of the current bylaws with proposed changes will be provided to all attendees prior to this meeting.
