Project WET – February 2018 Workshop

Calgary Public School Board Teacher’s Convention

Project WET is a water resource educational program for youth. It introduces young people to water issues and enables them to engage in good stewardship of our water resources. The next training workshop will be hosted at the Calgary Public School Board Teacher’s Convention, February 15-16, 2018. Facilitators from Alberta Environment and Parks will host this workshop for participants to learn about the Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide 2.0 (the Guide).

While the Guide has 65 complete multi-level lesson plans, showcased activities at the workshop will be tailored to Alberta’s current water issues such as aquatic invasive species. All workshop activities will be fun, hands-on, cooperative learning activities. By the end of the workshop, participants will have learned how to use the Guide and have experienced activities targeted for each age group.

Date: February 15-16, 2018

Cost: $44

The workshop cost includes a printed copy of the 592-page Project WET Cirriculum and Activity Guide 2.0.
