Description :
The CWRA BC branch will be hosting a 2-day in-person HEC-RAS training course, on 29th and 30th October, 2026. The training will be delivered by experienced trainer and modeller Gaven Tang, the course will balance theory with hands-on workshops to help participants build, run, troubleshoot, and interpret both 1D and 2D HEC-RAS models.

Day 2 - October 30
- Tutorial in constructing a full 2D Hydraulic Model that includes complex flow interactions
- Producing Flood inundation layers in RAS Mapper
- Discussion of manual flood inundation polygon edits
- Producing Flood Hazard Mapping layers in RAS Mapper
- Discussion of Hydrotechnical Analyses using results from RasMapper (Time permitting).
- Dam Break Tutorial or Discussion (Time permitting).
