March 29, 2022 1-2PM ET: NRCan Webinar: Discover the Data – Introducing the Atlas of Canada’s Minimum Snow and Ice Time Series with Marc-Andre Faucher

In Archived Event, Archived Online, Archived Webinars

Understanding the progression and rate of loss of permanent snow and ice is important for quantifying regional patterns of glacier retreat, predicting iceberg production, and understanding how climate change is affecting glaciers in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. The Minimum Snow and Ice (MSI) Time Series application, leveraged by CCMEO’s Data Cube Platform, displays large value-added satellite datasets on a sliding time scale, allowing users to visualize Canada’s glaciers and ice fields over a 21-year time period.

Une version française de cette conférence sera donnée le 31 mars.
