Coastal engineering and analysis is a growing discipline within Associated Engineering. Many of the techniques and principles used in ocean environments can be applied to lake (lacustrine) locations. In this presentation, Associated Engineering will outline the basics of coastal flooding and how these were applied to a flood mapping project on Mission Lake, SK. The presentation will discuss the techniques applied and how these methods can provide a higher degree of understanding of the effects of wave action on flood levels in a prairie setting.
