Where: Vancouver City Hall, 453 W 12th Ave, in the Joe Wai room
Please Note: Stall parking is available around City Hall. Enter from the 12th Ave westbound lane or Yukon St. Parking is charged at two dollars an hour, with a limit of two hours. Pay stations are located at the north and south entrance of City Hall.
About:
Every year, World Water Day (March 22) raises awareness and inspires action to tackle the water and sanitation crisis. The Student and Young Professional Committees for the Canadian Water Resources Association (CWRA SYP) and the BC Water & Waste Association (BCWWA) are excited to announce an in-person World Water Day networking event! The event will bring together water-enthused professionals and students for an evening of networking and presentations by water experts representing municipalities, academia and consulting. Panellists include:
- Angela Danyluk, MSc., RPBio, Senior Environmental Specialist, City of Vancouver,
- Dr. Rachel Scholes, Assistant Professor, Environmental Systems Engineering, University of British Columbia, and
- Dr. Macarena Cataldo, CEO and Co-Founder, Viridis Research
Agenda:
5:30-6:30 pm: Doors open, icebreaker activities and light snacks/refreshments (Please bring your own water bottle!)
6:00-7:30 pm: Presentations by featured speakers, followed by a panel Q&A
7:30-8:00 pm: Networking and farewells
