Mixing Zones and Meeting Minds: Integrating Groundwater and Surface Water for a Resilient Future

This joint conference brings together experts, researchers, and practitioners from both groundwater and surface water communities to foster collaboration and deepen our understanding of the vital interconnections between surface water and groundwater. By creating an opportunity for holistic discussions, the event encourages the exchange of knowledge, innovative research, and practical solutions for integrated water resource management. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from each other’s experiences, share insights, and explore collaborative approaches to improve the sustainability and resilience of our water systems.

We invite submissions of all areas related to surface water and groundwater, including but not limited to the following thematic categories:

• Water in Motion: Hydrologic or Hydrogeologic Systems and Modelling
  • Groundwater–surface water interactions
  • Hydrologic, hydraulic, and hydrogeologic modelling
  • Permafrost and northern concerns

We welcome contributions from a broad range of disciplines and encourage participation from researchers, consultants, utilities, Indigenous communities, municipalities, regulators, and students.
