Welcome to the Atlantic Branch Website!
The Atlantic Branch is CWRA’s newest branch and incorporates members from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador. In Fall 2021, the Branch voted to include members from Newfoundland & Labrador who had not been previously represented by a Branch, and to change the name from the Maritimes Branch to the Atlantic Branch. The name change was ratified at the National Board meeting in January 2022.
The Atlantic Branch recently wrapped up the successful hosting of the 2023 National Conference which took place in Kjipuktuk/Halifax, NS in June 2023. The team is currently in the middle of strategizing and planning follow-up events to continue the momentum generated by the success of the 2023 conference, and have recently put an exciting plan in place for webinars and other events for our members in 2025. Ontario Branch Mentoring Program
Program Goals:
The CWRA Ontario Branch Mentorship Program is intended to provide value to newer members of the CWRA, increase professional engagement in water management activities and in CWRA activities, and build long term connections among members of CWRA. The program allows for the transfer of information among generations of professionals in water resources. The Ontario mentorship program is affiliated with national CWRA mentorship activities.
The mentorship program is currently between sessions. Applications for the 2020-2021 session will open in the early fall. Information about the 2019-2020 session is available here.
If you are looking for mentorship but are not in Ontario, please get in touch with the Ontario Mentorship Program by email and they can refer you to a local branch for mentoring options.
